Assistant Principal
I graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1999. I then graduated with a BS in Marketing from ULM in 2002. I went back to school and graduated from ULM with a Masters in Special Education in 2005. In 2012, I earned a Masters in Educational Leadership/+30 from ULM. Lastly, I earned my certificaion in school counseling from ULM and LaTech in September of 2013.
I am highly qualified to teach Special Education 1-12, Academically Gifted, Business 6-12, English 6-12, Social Studies 6-12, Elementary 1-5, School Counseling, and Compter Literacy.
I started teaching in 2004 at Cherry Ridge Elementary in Bastrop. I taught special education there for two years. I then moved to SHS where I taught 7-12 special education. At SHS, I’ve taught all grades of English (regular, honors, and GT). I eventually got certified to be a school counselor and worked in the counseling office for about 3 years. I am currently an assistant principal over curriculum.
Prior to working as a teacher I worked at Professional Pharmacy Services in Monroe from 1995-2004.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Byron since 2002. We have three AWESOME little boys, Cameron, Caden, and Caleb.
My three boys keep me super busy, but if I have any spare time, I enjoy reading about vampires, werewolves, monsters, and MAGIC!!
